Additional HOOPLA information:
You will have access to the same collection of titles whether you use the hoopla web site or the free hoopla app. You might prefer the web site if you're using a computer or laptop. If you're using a mobile device (phone, tablet, ereader tablet) or a smart TV, use the app.
You'll need your library card and your email address to borrow from hoopla.
Some months there are "bonus borrows" collections available--items in those special collections do not subtract from your 13 monthly borrows.
Magazines can be found in the Magazines BingePass.
You can explore the Help page on the hoopla web site.Â
Additional LIBBY / OVERDRIVE information:
OverDrive is the company name, and their app is called Libby. You will have access to the same collection of titles whether you use the OverDrive web site or the free app called Libby. You might prefer the web site if you're using a computer or laptop. If you're using a mobile device (phone, tablet, ereader tablet), use the app.
You'll need your library card to borrow ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines from OverDrive/Libby. You may be asked for your email address so that you can be notified when an item is available (if you placed an item on hold).
If the item is not owned by our library, you can choose the "Notify me" option, and you will be sent an email if the title is added to the library's collection in the future.
You can explore the Help page on the OverDrive web site. Once there, we recommend going to the Devices section to find help specific to your device.
We can help you set up or learn how to use either of these digital services!
Call Floor 3 of the library (716-433-5935 option 6) and schedule a 30-minute 1-on-1 session where you can bring your device and get a librarian's undivided attention to show you how it works. You can also sign up for a session via our online events calendar -- look for the Event Type "Libby/Hoopla 1-on-1 sessions."
Stop in with your device on Floor 3 of the library where the librarians can help you. (Don't forget your library card!)
