Driving Directions to the Library
The library is located at 23 East Avenue, across the street from the Palace Theatre. The main entrance and parking lot are in the back, so it is best to use "35 Chestnut Street" as the destination when getting online directions. Click on map to see how to get here.
From the south:
I-90 East to I-290 West to I-990 North.
I-990 North ends at Millersport Hwy. (Hwy. 263).
Turn left on Millersport Hwy.
Millersport Hwy. ends at Transit Rd. (Route 78).
At Transit Road, turn left.
Continue on Transit Road approximately 8 miles to Main Street.
Turn right on Main Street.
Continue on Main Street approximately one-half mile.
Turn left onto Market Street.
Make the second right into a large parking lot. From here you can enter the first floor of the library.From the east:
Take the NYS Thruway (I-90).
Exit 48A Pembroke to Route 77 North.
Route 77 North to Route 31 West.
Route 31 West to Market Street.
Turn Right (north) onto Market Street.
Turn into the second parking lot on your right.
Enter the first floor of the library from the parking lot.From the north:
Take Route 78 South.
At the signal at Reid's Restaurant, veer left, taking the bridge over the Erie Canal rather than following Route 78.
Turn Right onto Market Street.
Near top of the hill, across from Ideal Office Supply, turn left into the large parking lot.
Enter the first floor of the library from the parking lot.
